Εκδόσεις Edilingua - Geografia italiana per stranieri
Λίγα λόγια για το βιβλίο:
The third in a series of books which aims to help students of Italian as a foreign language gain a better cultural understanding of Italy. This volume focusses on the geography of Italy and its society. The book aims not be a sterile list of cities, regions and their borders, but rather to identify and highlight the particular and characteristic aspects of the many areas of Italy in the North, Centre, South and in the islands; aspects which have contributed to shaping a diverse people who, at the same time, share in a single sentiment.
The volume is organized into eight chapters - eight modules - the first three offering an overview of the territory, the inhabitants and the economy; the other five presenting the various areas of the country, the macro-regions, each with their points of excellence and crisis. A timeline illustrates the evolution of each of these areas, followed by short factsheets about the main cities/towns and also a literary text that captures the essence of the place. At the end of the book you will find a glossary of geographical terms which have featured in each chapter.
The volume is complemented by free online resources:
Texts for further study of the Italian territory, its towns and cities, its inhabitants.
Self-assessment tests, one for each chapter, for students to check how much they have learned at the end of each module.
